Heritage 1874 cheeses are our flagship offerings. They are unique cheeses made with local ingredients using natural and traditional methods by master cheese-makers. We chose to honour this in the name, Heritage 1874, which is the year we began making dairy products.
In 1874, a group of local farmers got together to discuss a business idea. Realizing they had a surplus of quality milk each month from their dairy herds and not happy about wasting it, they established Bright Cheese & Butter.
